Beschreibung

This monograph is written to report on the research done on the physical atmospheric processes of the lowest atmospheric layer over an industrialized equatorial area. To date, research of this nature has been focused on western mid-latitude countries and relevant works or data in the general equatorial regions are limited. A sampling station was set up in the field of the Institusi Teknologi Abdul Rahman in the center of the Prai Industrial Park, Penang, Malaysia. A comprehensive dataset of atmospheric turbulence parameters of three months were determined and analyzed. A set of lateral and vertical dispersion parameter curves used in Gaussian-based air pollution model were also developed and presented.
